Civil Aviation in Armenia
The Civil Aviation in Armenia was established in September 1933 when the Armenian independent air detachment began regular flights between Yerevan-Tbilisi departing from the Southern (current "Erebuni") Airport in Yerevan. Since that time, over 20 airlines have received licenses for flight operations in the Republic of Armenia, performing both scheduled and charter flights.
"Armavia," is the Armenian National Airline and operates regular passenger air services between the various airports of Armenia, as well as to international destinations.
Civil Aviation Day is recogized in Armenia on September 30, by decree.
