ELECTRONIC TICKETING AND BSP WORKSHOP

Board of Airline Representatives in Armenia (BARA) on April 2, 2008 delivered first workshop on Electronic Ticketing and Bank Settlement Plan for air transport representatives and travel agents operating in Armenia supported mainly by CAPS.

The workshop was devoted to the launch of e-ticketing by 1st of June, 2008 as required by IATA.

Two experts from IATA were invited to cover areas of what Electronic Ticketing is, how it works, to give necessary information about the Bank Settlement Plan (BSP) which will most probably be established in Armenia soon.

The full day workshop (with lunch and coffee breaks and a Q&A session) was delivered by IATA Manager of Reservation and Ticketing Standards, Mr. Yngvar Sundsfjord at Marriott Hotel Conference Hall.

44 airline and travel agency staff members attended the workshop and marked it as highly useful and interesting.  

At the end special training certificates were handed out to all participants of the workshop.
